PHOENIX (October 18, 2018) – Just in time for the holidays. Civitan Foundation is wrapping up the year with the Civitan Holiday Market on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Civitan Village, located at 12635 N. 42nd Street in Phoenix.

The Civitan Holiday Market will showcase products created by members of Civitan Foundation who are children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Items for sale include paintings and jewelry, baked goods and flavored jars of butter, crafts created in art classes, as well as “treasures” from Civitan’s thrift stores, Flerish Design + Resale and Civitan on 66 in Williams. All proceeds benefit the programs and services of Civitan Foundation. Civitan Holiday Market is free admission.
In addition to items being sold in the market, food is available from Civitan’s Cook-er-y, a catering service where members learn job skills in a professional kitchen while earning an income. Other activities include information tables about Civitan programs and services, live music and a gift-wrapping service.

“This is a wonderful holiday shopping opportunity for the community,” said Dawn Trapp, CEO of Civitan Foundation, Inc. “Our members make the most beautiful arts and crafts, and tasty cookies, too! A gift for a friend or family member, which was made by one of our members will be cherished.”
